Hillsboro, Ind. - Riley Clifford Congleton, 68, of Hillsboro, was dead-on-arrival at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville Wednesday evening (June 30, 1971). He had been residing with a daughter, Mrs. Julie L. McGinnis in Crawfordsville. He had been ill for several years. Born Nov. 2, 1902, in Mellott, he was the son of Ira and Effie Congleton. He attended the Mellott schools. A life resident of the Hillsboro area, he was a farmer and trucker most of his life. He retired in 1961 from the Harrison Steel Castings Co. in Attica. Survivors include three sons, Jackie D. of St. Louis, Mo., William F. of Linden and Robert I. of Buena Vista, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. Beverly J. Hodges of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Dora Rimel of Indianapolis and Mrs. McGinnis; three sisters; Mrs. Charlene Krajewski of Kerrville, Tex., Mrs. Anna Foxworthy of Hillsboro and Mrs. Victoria Eckville of Peoria, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren.
